The Spoodoire ("we", "our", "us") operates the website https://spoodoire.uk and specialises in the sale of tarantulas, invertebrates, related products, and accessories.
By purchasing from our website, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract under UK law.
2. Product Information
We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, photographs, sizing information, and availability are accurate.
Please note:
Photographs may show adult specimens and not the exact specimen being sold.
Colouration and appearance may vary between individual animals.
Sizes listed are approximate.
Sexed specimens are identified to the best of our ability but cannot be guaranteed unless specifically stated otherwise.
Availability is subject to change without notice.
3. Animal Welfare & Buyer Responsibility
By purchasing live animals from The Spoodoire, you confirm that:
You have researched the species being purchased.
You understand the care requirements of the animal.
You can provide suitable housing, temperature, humidity, ventilation, and ongoing care.
You are aware that tarantulas and other invertebrates may bite, flick urticating hairs, or display defensive behaviour.
You accept responsibility for the animal once delivery has been completed.
The Spoodoire reserves the right to refuse the sale of any animal if we believe welfare standards may be compromised.
4. Ordering & Payment
Orders are subject to acceptance and stock availability.
Payment must be received in full before an order is dispatched.
We reserve the right to:
Cancel any order.
Refuse service.
Limit quantities purchased.
Correct pricing errors or website inaccuracies.
If an order is cancelled after payment has been made, a full refund will be issued.
5. Shipping
Live animal shipments are normally dispatched Monday to Wednesday to minimise the risk of delays over weekends.
Delivery dates cannot be guaranteed and may be adjusted due to:
Weather conditions
Extreme temperatures
Courier disruptions
Animal welfare concerns
Public holidays
Someone must be available to receive the delivery on the first delivery attempt.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Any costs arising from incorrect address information may be charged to the customer.
6. Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee on eligible live animal shipments.
To qualify:
The parcel must be accepted on the first delivery attempt.
The correct delivery address must have been supplied.
Someone must be available to receive the parcel.
Any issue must be reported within 2 hours of delivery.
Clear photographs of the unopened packaging and the specimen must be provided.
The Live Arrival Guarantee does not cover:
Delays caused by incorrect customer information.
Missed deliveries.
Animals left unattended after delivery.
Husbandry issues after delivery.
Premoult, postmoult, fasting, or normal behavioural conditions.
Where a valid claim is approved, we may offer:
A replacement specimen (subject to availability), or
Store credit, or
A refund of the specimen value.
Shipping costs are non-refundable unless required by law.
7. Returns & Cancellations
Live Animals
For animal welfare reasons, live animals cannot be returned.
Orders for live animals may only be cancelled prior to dispatch.
Non-Live Products
Unused and unopened non-live items may be returned within 14 days of receipt.
The customer is responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or supplied incorrectly.
Refunds will be processed after the returned item has been received and inspected.
8. Health & Safety
Tarantulas and other invertebrates are living animals and should be treated with care and respect.
The Spoodoire accepts no liability for:
Bites
Allergic reactions
Injuries resulting from handling
Escaped animals
Damage caused by purchased animals
Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and appropriate handling practices.
9. Website Use
You agree not to:
Misuse the website.
Attempt unauthorised access to our systems.
Copy content, photographs, branding, or product descriptions without permission.
Use the website for unlawful purposes.
All content remains the intellectual property of The Spoodoire unless otherwise stated.
10. Pricing
All prices are displayed in GBP (£).
We reserve the right to amend prices at any time without notice.
In the event of an obvious pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a refund.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Spoodoire shall not be liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses.
Loss of profits.
Loss arising from misuse of products or animals.
Delays caused by third-party couriers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful under UK consumer legislation.

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information is collected only as necessary to process orders, provide customer support, and comply with legal obligations.
