From arachnophobia to obsession...  A few years back Stig was told by Tracey he had to overcome his absolute fear of spiders! No more screaming and locking himself in the bedroom (and standing on the toilet in case it came under the door). The plan was, she'd order him a cute fluffy jumping spider (as we all know - a gateway drug). The plan didn't go too well - jumping spiders were sold out so she bought him three tarantulas - a T.albo, a V.chromatus and an A.geniculata. 

Two of the originals are still with us, Betty the A.Geniculata and Baby Spood - he was so tiny and now he's absolutely ancient! Had his final molt a couple of years back and when it's quiet in The Spoodoire you can hear him creaking around his enclosure in search of the ladies.
